Know these Opinion Shapers...

Who are the Opinion Shapers in a Debate?! 

This rhetorical question is intriguing, isn't it? Obviously, it is💡🌍📚.

You've probably heard this name, Opinion Former, or not, so it doesn't really matter, let's go to the "Adam's Apple, in fact the Apple of the Question". 

In a debate, an expert or several ad hoc experts would obviously be invited to come and clarify a certain topic under analysis, let's see, if it is about (Mental Health in Angola/or no) it would be or would seem convenient to call yourself a psychologist, psychiatrist or at least a nurse or doctor in Medicine, to more technically address this topic in its varied subjects, but that is beside the point, as this is much more preferable in a lecture, colloquium, forum or conference and not exactly in a debate, now this would require the specialist to have in-depth knowledge or mastery of dialectics, oratory and argumentative rhetoric, opening up gaps for controversies, refutations, counter-arguments and the like, as required for there to be a productive debate.

Meanwhile, it is therefore important to call on Opinion Shapers and not necessarily Experts, running the imminent risk of it not being a debate, but something like that (lecture or conference) with the aim of clarifying and not to discuss.

A hot question then inevitably arises:

 *Who is the Opinion Former?* 

Logically, when you come across any topic or subject, on television, radio, newspapers, books, in your family, at school, in society, at work, with friends or in your day-to-day life, You always have the tendency to form some opinion, either by thought or by externalizing it with an opinion, whether yours, someone else's or even personal.

 *Some practical examples:* 

Watch a soap opera unfold on TV and watch an episode or the entire drama and, unexpectedly, a thought arises or occurs to you, saying that the actor/actress should not adopt that type of behavior to the detriment of your perspective or something inherent to that.

Or even if you are watching a game on TV or in a stadium and you have a lot or little idea about the type of game, you will express or have your own opinion, despite or regarding the player, the nature of the team initial and other five hundred...

Now analyze all this understanding in a more organized structure, let’s go:

An *Opinion Former* is a researcher and/or investigator, who seeks knowledge, in order to be able to form a certain opinion to the detriment of all existing themes and subjects. The opinions expressed by an Opinion Former must be solid and consistent with the aim of awakening or bringing to light the truth and justice of things, unlike the Specialist who focuses solely and exclusively on understanding something of their specialty and not daring to enter into a generality, with the risk of not having solid views to the detriment of the subject under discussion.

Just by our human nature, this in itself, already gives us the ability to have our own and diverse opinions on all types of subjects or themes, however, we are already _Opinion Providers_ just by our own nature, once we have your own opinion about everything that exists in the world.

Regarding aspects linked to the debate, it is more than obvious that the Opinion Shapers constitute the entire structure of the panel (that is, they are the *Moderators, Panelists or Debaters,* and sometimes, the attending public/audience), however, it is understood that they researched the topic under discussion well in advance, having the legitimacy to express themselves with credible, authentic sources and clear references required in the categorization of a "Productive Debate", and as students, academics and enthusiasts of free knowledge, we must form opinions that provoke the truth and/or evident facts.

An *Opinion Former* should not be oblivious to current affairs, scientificity, philosophy, religious or social knowledge and the entire creative sphere of the World that surrounds us and beyond. In a debate, Opinion Shapers are people capable of addressing all the thematic aspects of what is being discussed, because it is understood that, even though they are not experts, they awaken the truth and justice of the subject, in order to agree a Public until then, still dormant and not enlightened to the detriment of a more preponderant look in the search for incorruptible knowledge, for the evolution of humanity, from the point of view of intellectual and cognitive maturity.

There is no age at which we can be Opinion Formers, these can be children, teenagers/young people and adults, as what really matters is the critical and argumentative capacity inherent to our creative-mental sense, obviously, it would be a A huge mistake is to think that an adult is more intelligent than a child/adolescent, just because of age and not intellectuality itself👎.

The Opinion Former in a debate, research, investigates, studies, follows the trail of facts and knowledge/events, guides himself through readings, is a friend of knowledge and cognitive freedom, is a being social and an intellectual, even before expressing their opinions regarding the topics under discussion. In all truth, the behavior of the opinion former with regard to the debate will depend on dialectical maturity and knowledge of techniques in participating in a debate by this Opinion Former.

Finally, I am not afraid or reluctantly intimidated from expressing your opinions, in your home, school, church, work, family and society, because to be a Trainer requires in-depth knowledge about the things in discussions.
